Hey guys, do you guys have a peanut allergy in your household like we do stay tuned because I'm going to share some of our favorite snacks that we have in our house.
I have no idea what I just said.
Hi there welcome back to my channel.
My name is Kendra.
If you're new here I am a stay-at-home mom of three and my oldest has a peanut allergy and as a mom, it can be such a struggle to find, treats and snacks for him.
I know that when I first found out about his peanut allergy I was completely overwhelmed and stressed out about what am I going to do now.
I had to reframe my whole thought process on the foods and items that I brought into my house to make sure that he stayed safe.
Food now became a thing that I had to really worry about.
I hope that some of these suggestions will be helpful and first I'm going to say a disclaimer here, always check the labels for yourself uh.
The foods that I have here are currently safe and peanut free.
My son eats them all the time.
Yet.
Companies like to change their labels and they change their suppliers and ingredients as well.
So it's always good idea to do your own research.
Make sure that you're comfortable with what you're feeding your children so I'm, going to jump right in our first staple that we have on a daily basis, is sun.
Butter.
Sun butter is all major allergen free.
It is like a peanut butter substitute.
We use this for peanut butter.
We use this for some butter and jelly and I like to eat it a lot on apples.
They have a few different varieties of this.
This is the one where sugar is added, there's also a no sugar added and there's a chocolate version as well.
My children seem to like it.
It could use a little more sugar in my opinion, but hey they like it.
So this is actually really good.
It's good for you too.
Next we have a walnut butter.
This company is called crazy.
Go nuts I talked about this in my stocking stuffer video.
This is the Walnut butter.
This one is the oatmeal cookie.
They also have a maple flavor banana orange plain, and maybe a few others like they also have other snacks on their website as well, so be sure to check these out.

Don't have everything here with me, but I will uh put some pictures up here.
Um, my kids uh really really really enjoy Nature's Bakery fake cookies um.
We love these.
We get these from Costco I know a lot of people know about them now, but they actually do say peanut free, which is so helpful when things actually say peanut and tree nut free.
It's Canadian companies typically put peanut free labels on their products, and I am so grateful for that because it is so helpful.
Another snack or treat that we also get from Costco are the made good granola balls.
My kiddos love these as snacks, they're, healthier just a fun little take long, snack, Snyder's pretzels are another thing: they are peanut free.
What I like to do is eat them with Craisins and make like a trail mix, and you could also add those little granola bars or even some of the nuts that um this company makes, and you can just make a trail mix for your kids as well speaking of Craisins.
These are peanut free love.
Craisins can never go wrong with these I.
Don't have any more of these, because my children inhale them, but they're apple chips, and these are so good and they don't necessarily say peanut free on the label, but the only ingredients in them is Apples, so um.
These are so good, they're, great, healthy snack.
This would also work in a trail mix.
Some crackers that we really like are the Breton crackers.
Now these used to say peanut free on the label, but for some reason they have taken it off.
However, I did some research on their website and it still says that they're peanut, free so I wish that they would actually put it back on their label, because that would make me more even reassured that these are good to go.
So just double check.
Do your research on these, but we really enjoy these crackers.
If you hear any little noises over here, I have a helper.
If you wanted to make some cookies for someone a safe option for chocolate chips, are the guitard brand I use those a lot for chocolate, chip, cookies and things.
Now, if you also have a person who cannot have gluten, an option is almond flour.
This almond flour from Costco is peanut, free and and I have made cookies with this and the guatard chocolate chips that are actually fairly good.
I will go ahead and leave a link in the description for that recipe if I can find it also, I will have links below for as many of these things that I have mentioned today, so that you can find them easily another snack from Costco that we like to get are the that's it.
Fruit bars um.
These are just fruit, they're super tasty and they're, also relatively healthy, there's, no sugar in them.
It's just dried fruit, and so these are a fun little quick snack to take with you.
One other thing that we recently found is the Annie's dipped.
Caramel granola bars, my son, has always wanted to try granola bars and it has been so hard to find any that don't have a peanut butter or you know, made with peanuts or on the same product line or whatever I've made my own a few times, but it's just kind of fun to get some store-bought granola bars and these ones are peanut free.
Now they have to be the dipped kind and I believe that these ones are also made in Canada.
Therefore they label them any.
Not just any Annie's granola bars are peanut free strictly these ones and they have a label on them.
I believe there might be a couple, other varieties, but I'm not sure on that.
But my son loves these.
He really likes caramel.
He gets excited when he gets to have something that is peanut free that has caramel in it.
Another thing we like to have is almond: milk I really enjoy the chocolate almond milk and they have these little single serve containers that um that my kids really enjoy taking on road trips and things like that.
So they get the chocolate milk, but it's almond chocolate milk and it is peanut free, the Blue Diamond Almond, Breeze and they're they're, just fun for kids to have and they really enjoy taking those on trips.
Now, if you're looking for something a little more special occasion, I have a few ideas for you there now during the holidays, a lot of people like to do Advent calendars and the chocolate Advent calendar specifically, and it can be so hard to find one off the shelf at Walmart or Target that is peanut, free and safe.
For my children, however, we have found, of course, this is currently being used.
We have on a company called the Vermont nut free, chocolates, and my kiddos have gotten quite a few things from them.
They get one of these every year from my mom.
She gives them each one and they look forward to it.
They know what's coming and they get so excited that they can have a special little chocolate to eat every day leading up to Christmas.
This company also has gold coins and Specialty candies and chocolates for different holidays throughout the year and I encourage you to go check them out.

Maybe you want to have a movie night and you want to make sure that any popcorn that you make is peanut.
Free I have popcorn here from Amish, Country, peanut and tree nut free right here.
I just put this in a jar because I like how it looks it's kind of Pretty in my pantry, but we love having popcorn I love, making caramel, corn and I plan on making popcorn balls here really soon.
Maybe even tonight I'm not sure we get this from Murdoch's.
It is a farm and ranch supply store in our area, and so my husband actually usually puts popcorn in my stocking every year.
So we are stocked for the year on that.
Another specialty item might be the loft house brand sugar cookies.
These are the ones that are super fluffy and have all that icing on top and cannot possibly be healthy.
For you in any way shape or form, but they are so good, so it's always fun because they have a holiday, decorated ones and festive colors for all different seasons, and it can be fun to just have a nice big sugar cookie.
Just a couple more items, there's also a candy called yum, yum I believe I'll put a picture here of what I'm talking about um and there's Licorice and suckers and all kinds of things those are peanut free as well, and anything Tootsie uh brand is also peanut free, so my kids really enjoy Junior Mints and dots and Tootsie Rolls as well.
Jelly Bellies are also a candy that is peanut free.
As long as it is packaged in their own Packaging um, it will usually say peanut free on there.
